Camden Garden Centre Cure

Went to Camden Garden Centre today and chased away all residual blues. I bought lots of herbs for outside the kitchen window and some nasturtiums and campanula monic (the lavendar ones) that I hope will still be alive when Mum and Kristin arrive. If not, we'll buy something hardy from Kew Gardens.

Where Am I?

What happened?! I just did a Google search on Stacy Munn and www.stacymunn.com is nowhere to be found. I was number one only a couple months ago. I guess I had my 15 minutes of fame.

I watched Rabbit Proof Fence last night. It is wonderful and I highly recommend it. Rent the DVD if you can because the documentary on the making of the film was (almost) as enjoyable as the film itself. The documentary doesn't have a score by Peter Gabriel, so can't be quite as good. Tonight I saw City of God in a Leicester Square cinema. Another highly recommended film, but of a different caliber. It's violent and depressing, though done with a lot of creativity. Makes me glad I didn't grow up in the slums of Rio de Janiero.

I'm becoming addicted to 'Down Boy'. It's a music and video shop on Oxford Street, dangerously positioned between my health club and my office. Just two visits and I'm now the owner of 8 DVDs. How did this happen? When will I ever re-watch one of these movies? They're just so darned cheap. And the convenience of not walking down Seven Sisters Road, once to rent the movie, then again to return it the next day is definitely worth the cost of a venti extra hot soy latte from Starbucks. So, who wants Wayne's World 2 for their birthday? Sorry, I'm keeping Spinal Tap.
