Rennie Harris Puremovement at Sadler's Wells

Brian and I once again saw the Rennie Harris Puremovement dance company. This time, it was at Sadler's Wells. Last time, it was at On The Boards in Seattle.
The first and last acts were stellar; pure energetic hip-hop. Everything in between was too modern and interpretive. It's hard to follow on the heels of AC/DC though.

AC/DC at the Hammersmith Apollo

Brian and I went to hear AC/DC live in concert. First time I've ever seen Angus on stage. In fact, I've never even seen an AC/DC video. They ROCKED! Angus did a little double heel-tap throughout the entire show. Not very many women at this show. And I felt young.

Let The Pilates Begin

I started Pilates. Check back in a few months to find out if Joseph Pilates' claim that after 30 sessions you will have an entirely new body holds true for me.

Debbi Murray is here

She just returned from a trip to Turkey and Greece. Tonight we saw Belleville Redezvous. It's a dark comedy animation with a cycling theme and I rate it as the best movie I've seen this year. Ayumi, on the other hand, thought it was absolutely horrid.

Wheatus at the Scala

I fell in love with "Teenage Dirtbag" the first time I heard it watching MTV while putting in training miles on the treadmill. Grant let me borrow the song and even after dozens of plays I still wasn't tired of it, but I wasn't inclined to buy the CD. Surely this was a group strictly for teens. Wheatus surprised me in July at the Potty in the Pock (see earlier post) with two or three more songs that I liked nearly as well as Dirtbag. So the CD was purchased. All the songs are easy to listen to and catchy. I figured the show at the Scala would be entertaining, even if a bit too teeny-bop-y. But these guys rocked my sock off! Especially the lead singer/guitarist/songwriter Brendan. Lots of music, lots of energy, excellent guitar playing and they all looked like they loved performing. AND they did an AC/DC cover. Couldn't ask for a better Wednesday night.
